Ski Day with Band of Brothers

Can you believe James has only skied twice in his life????? learner

A great story…

Dogs know ....Anyone who has pets will really like this. You'll like it even if you don't and you may even decide you need one!
Mary and her husband Jim had a dog named 'Lucky.' Lucky was a real character. Whenever Mary and Jim had company come for a weekend visit they would warn their friends to not leave their luggage open because Lucky would help himself to whatever struck his fancy. Inevitably, someone would forget and something would come up missing.

Mary or Jim would go to Lucky's toy box in the basement and there the treasure would be, amid all of Lucky's other favorite toys Lucky always stashed his finds in his toy box and he was very particular that his toys stay in the box.
It happened that Mary found out she had breast cancer. Something told her she was going to die of this fact; she was just sure it was fatal.
She scheduled the double mastectomy, fear riding her shoulders.  The night before she was to go to the hosp…

birthday post #2 and Family Day!

We celebrated Family Day and my birthday all in one, since James was in Windsor on Sunday for my actual birthday.  We went to Milestones with Steph and Ryan and the girls.  We all ended up taking advantage of the “girls night” special….which is four bellini’s and four appetizers for $40.  YUMMY!  Steph and I are going to live at Milestones on Mondays in the summer.  They have an awesome patio with fireplace that I can see us sitting at every week :)We then came back to BJAMS’ house to watch the Bachelor….all I can say is I’ve never enjoyed watching that so show so much LOL!  This is the post Steph left me on Facebook this morning.  !  “....he leans forward, confused expression on his face scratching his head with one finger he muses, "I'm a weird guy". why yes, brad womack (spelling?) you are indeed! Now stop letting the girls you date advertise their funeral parlor during your show! AND who can forget the wallpaper? I mean painting! haha.”That pretty much sums up the ev…

It’s my birthday…

After a not-so-great sleep, with Selena waking up at 2am, instead of her usual 4am, this morning I was greeted with two smiling little girls – which is the best gift any mommy could ask for!My brother was the first call of the day :)  This is the one and only day we are officially the same age.  His birthday is tomorrow.  We’re creeping pretty close to 30…I can’t believe it.  I remember wondering as a kid what it would feel like to be 30, and what I would look like.  I always pictured myself as looking really different, with wrinkles….HAHA!!  I have a few wrinkles….I look a little different than I did as a kid….but I feel exactly the same.  I always pictured myself married with kids by 30, and I was bang on with that one!  I’m a lucky girl :)I took the girls and Mavie out for a walk this morning.  I’m really not a fan of the cold, but the sun was out and there was very little wind, which made for a great walk.Looking forward to seeing my bestie this afternoon and enjoying Pizza Hut’s …

To my Babe on Valentine's Day

It's been a great Valentine's Day, thanks to my sweet husband :) He is so cute when Valentine's Day and my birthday approach...his romantic side wants to kick in in full gear, but his logical side can't figure out what to do. He knows it doesn't take much to put a smile on my face, and this year he got me a chocolate rose and wrote a sweet little note waiting for me at the bottom of the staircase, and then went shopping and brought home a "fancy" rib dinner for us. They were delicious ribs - the best I've had in a while!

Selena and Annika were all smiles today, getting back into their schedule after a full weekend of fun. Selena and Annika's Valentine's Day present to mommy and daddy was taking a coinciding 2.5 hour nap together! Silence and peace in the afternoon - so nice!

Happy Valentine's Day!!
