Halloween festivities and Daddy’s Birthday

On Devil’s night, after making daddy a special birthday card…..….we decided to carve the pumpkin.  My thinking that Annika would love to dive right in and fetch out all the gooey pumpkin seeds was completely off.  She thought it was the most disgusting thing….she attempted to reach her hand in once but that didn’t go over so well.  She couldn’t believe I was doing such a gross thing and didn’t even want to be in the same room! LOL  She did agree that the best part was eating the roasted pumpkin seeds after!  She ate almost half the bowl!Absolutely disgusted…and a little concerned that I was sticking my hand inAttempting it…Nope….too gross…..Yummy roasted pumpkin seeds!Daddy’s Birthday!!!  Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband!!!!Annika was so proud to show off her Halloween costume!Showing daddy her costumeMaverick doing the “Annika smile”Attempting to put on her own makeup….and showing off her pretty makeupTrick-or-treating with uncleGrandpa showing Annika how to be a butterflyHugs …

Annika’s 1km race

Her last “race” of the season!  She loved it and was so proud of herself!  She couldn’t get enough of all the people cheering her on down the finish shoot.Sporting the headband she won!

~35 weeks~

I was born at 35 weeks, so hitting this milestone in both my pregnancies has been significant - knowing that if little Loaring was to be born, she would most likely be able to thrive on her own.  Her lungs and the majority of her organs are fully grown, so its just a waiting game now.  Could it be daddy’s birthday (Halloween)??? or is she going to decide to stay safe and sound until her due date on December 1??  I’m counting the days!!  We all can’t wait to finally meet her and love her to pieces!!My belly at 35 weeksWhat Little Loaring looks like inside my belly :D

Which costume????

Last year at the annual “girls weekend” in Pennsylvania, my aunt Pat bought Mavie a few Halloween costumes…Maverick likes all of them :D….but I can only choose one!Our little prisoner….suites his name pretty well! Not feelin the ladybug…too girly I guess..The pumpkin suite was adorableThe rooster costume was too cute, but blended in too muchThe devil costume was a little big….but also suites his name pretty wellAnnika’s favourite was the pumpkin and she wanted to test it out herselfAnd the winner is…..a tie….Prisoner or pumpkin…if Annika will share :D  Stay tuned for Annika’s awesomely cute costume this year!  She can’t wait to go trick-or-treating with her daddy!
