Big Windsor Weekend and Auntie’s 40th!

We made it out alive and on time for everything!  We managed to escape dance just in time to make the 3 hour drive to the cottage, curl hair and touch up makeup and arrived to Char’s 40th birthday party at a vineyard a couple km’s way from the cottage, Cooper’s Hawk.  Char and family friend Kathy organized a nice gathering of friends and family to ring in the big 4-0 (officially also known as the new 20) - since my birthday rule is to begin the backwards countdown after 30 Open-mouthed smile Happy Birthday Auntie Char!

The girls got to play with many of their Loaring second-cousins at the cottage on Sunday, for the last family reunion we’ll have there.  Amazing to think that some of this family James and I have not seen since our wedding – 7 years ago!  Most of the cousins at that time were Annika and Selena’s age, and now teenagers!  I didn’t recognize some of them.  Just goes to show how fast life can pass you by.  Life certainly gets busy, but it’s these moments that make you realize how precious life really is – kids are only kids for a very short time – you’ll miss it with the blink of an eye if you don’t stop and take the time to enjoy it!  Seeing our kids grow is one of the most fascinating and gratifying things in the world.  These years are so important xo
